Protein powder is an awesome way to get your macronutrients in a quick way, whether you're on the go or just don't feel like cooking. However, I know that we've all probably had those days when it's hard to drink or maybe it just doesn't sound super appealing. This is where protein bites come in handy!
Use what protein powder and nut butter you already have available, and then you get to decide what sort of mix-ins you'd prefer. Yummo! Savanna’s Protein Bites Recipe Wet Ingredients: 1 cup nut butter, slightly warmed/melted 1/2 cup maple syrup (or other sweetener of choice) 1 tsp vanilla Dry Ingredients: 1 cup protein powder of choice 1 cup rolled oats 2 TBSP chia seed 2 handfuls of dark chocolate chips/chunks 1. Measure and add wet ingredients to glass measuring cup, warm, then mix together. 2. Place dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix to incorporate. 3. Add wet to dry, ensuring to mix well and leaving no dry mix at the bottom. 4. Form into balls and place into your storage container and chill. Although any protein powder will do, I highly recommend using the brand Ka'Chava - Plant-Based Protein/Meal replacement powder. It is vegan and has so many wholesome ingredients such as: probiotics, adaptogens, and supergreens. I hope you enjoy this recipe! <3 XO Savanna (You can find Ka'Chava using my referral code below) i.refs.cc/YQme3ALm?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjo0MjE0NjgzNTd9

We have been testing out our "Dole - Yonanas" machine and LOVING it! Instead of eating ice cream with loads of sugar, paying for the lower-calorie alternatives, or going without - we enjoy a yummy treat as much as we want! :D Now you may wonder why we don't just use a blender, freeze the mix in a pan, and then scoop it out? Well, it doesn't have the same texture (hard vs. creamy/soft) and its more fun to be able to mix up the ingredients as they are going into the chute. Our toddler loves to watch us make this treat! Anyway, let's get to the fun! What you need: - Yonanas machine (there are a few different models...we use the Elite!) - Fruit, partially thawed (i.e. berries, mango, pineapple, bananas) Extras: - Sweetener of choice (or without), such as agave, maple, or stevia - Frozen Greek or regular yogurt into cubes, partially thawed Starting with a handful of fruit, let it fall into the chute, use the plunger to apply pressure downward, and then put a little sweetener before adding more fruit to the chute. If you decide to use yogurt cubes, add 1 or 2 as desired. Repeat watch the soft-serve come out of the bottom! I like to mix at the end, just to make sure the flavors are incorporated throughout. Enjoy!! Here's a link to the "Yonanas Elite": http://a.co/d/bxqLNyL Hi friends! We harvested some greens and herbs from our Tower Garden today and I realized that frozen, ready-to-go smoothie bags would be a great way to use our harvest. Who doesn't love smoothies??! :)
You can use fresh or frozen fruit (unsweetened) and then add the greens in with them. I plan to add some frozen greek yogurt cubes as well, just to give it another punch of protein! Here's what I recommend for the frozen bags: *2 cups fruit - whatever kind you like! (I recommend 1 cup banana and 1 cup mixed berries) *1 handful of greens (kale, spinach, lettuce...all yummy!) *1-2 frozen, yogurt cubes (regular or greek) When preparing the smoothie: *1 cup nut milk of your choice (I use almond milk most frequently) *1 TBSP raw chia seeds *1 smoothie pack Blend, blend, blend until it's the desired thickness and texture! **Adjust nut milk amount for varying thickness Enjoy! -Savanna Hey there!
